Our History
Thank you for allowing us a moment to introduce our
company, Coursey’s Landscaping, LLC. We are a family owned and operated company who have been in business for over seventy years. Our company was founded in 1939 by Andrew Coursey,
who began his plant nursery business in West Atlanta, just off of Bankhead
Highway. After several successful years,
Andy Coursey moved his family and business to the College Park area, where he
opened Coursey’s Nursery. The nursery
supplied both field and container grown plants for retail and wholesale
operations.
In 1984, after 45 years in the business, Andy
Coursey retired and handed all operations over to his youngest son, Chuck
Coursey. Chuck and his older brother Monty,
who had been in the landscaping field since the mid-70’s, decided to open a
landscaping division of Coursey’s Nursery.
In 1989, Coursey’s Nursery & Landscaping was introduced to the
public. Due to the success of the
landscaping division, Chuck decided to
close the nursery in 1990 and focus completely on commercial landscaping. More recently, Coursey’s Landscaping has experienced
additional changes. In early 2006, Monty
Coursey decided to retire and Chuck continued to handle all operations. Coursey’s Landscaping is proud to stand behind our work and experience. Our combined
experience and dedicated work ethic make our company exceptional in its field. Our family began this business in 1939 with the
philosophy that every job has our name on it.
We take a lot of pride in what we do and believe it shows through in our
end results. After more than seventy
years and three generations, our name is now in the landscape of every neighborhood
in the Atlanta area. Thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about us. We look forward to working with you on your next project.
